The Heart of Winter Art Show
and Chocolate Reception

Chocolate! This winter we are once again hosting our annual “Heart of Winter” Art Show in the Macsherry Library Community Gallery in conjunction with our 9th annual Chocolate Reception. The show will hang for one week in the Gallery, being open afternoons and evenings from Saturday February 11th through Saturday, February 18th.

You are invited to submit a visual or three-dimensional work representing what the “Heart of Winter” means to you. We are also seeking original Haiku and short Poems (1 page or less) to intersperse amongst the visual works.
We hope you will consider joining the fun. There will be a few Peoples Choice Awards for different categories. Last year we had great attendance and a couple of paintings were sold Crafts!after the display as well.

The exhibit will be hung between February 6th and 10th. We will need your participation form ASAP  no later than January 30th. We will be advertising this free event and hope to generate more interest by listing our participants. We will need your artwork to be at the Library by February 6th.
For the sake of consistency and readability we will reprint Haiku and Poems to be hung with the show and will need your written works by February 6th.
Artwork may be picked up after the show is over during Library hours (9-5 AM  or 7- 9 PM)  Monday February 20 through Wednesday February 22.
We look forward to hosting this event and joining together as a community to share our visual and verbal experiences of this most influential season. There will of course be chocolate deserts and Valentine Card making. We do hope you will join us.
If you would like to help behind the scenes or need more information, feel free to contact Sue-Ryn Burns at 482-2985 between 9am and 10pm.
