SAVING AND FILING PICTURES
By default you can save your pictures in the folder provided with Windows.
Inside the My Documents folder is a folder called My Pictures.
To make finding pictures easier later, it’s a good idea to create subfolders
under My Pictures. The filing structure should look something like this:

To create new folders, use Windows Explorer.
Under the C drive you will find My Documents.
A plus + sign in a box beside it means there are subfolders.
Click on that + and you will see the subfolder My Pictures.
Highlight that by clicking on it.
Then to make new folders under that, click on File, New, and then choose Folder.
A new unnamed folder will appear. Type in the name, then hit enter. This will give
that folder the name you want.
To make more subfolders follow the same process.
Folders can reside inside folders, inside even larger folders
Then when saving a picture, use Save As to give it a descriptive name
(like Granny Falling Down) and from the menu listing where to save it
to, choose the proper subfolder, such as:
My Documents/My Pictures/Family Pictures/Granny
Digital Photo Workshop Home Page
Rules of Thumb Rules
for Tasks Glossary Using the Library
Card Reader
Kim Komando
Web Resources
Icons and Letter Codes
