VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
They say that many hands make light work, and we know that's true.
It takes a lot of work to keep Macsherry Library going and
growing,
and the Library can afford only so much paid staff. To continue to
do what it is doing now, and to do even more in the future, it needs
volunteers. It needs people like you.
We can use assistance on Story Hour, the sorting and
cataloging of
books, and just keeping the place tidy. In the summer we need help
working on the flower and herb gardens.
Do you already take books to an older or shut-in friend or
relative?
Maybe you know others who would also like to take advantage of
all the books the Library has on hand. We can help you do that.
Do you have a special skill? Could you help teach folks how to
use a
computer? Can you tell stories? Could you get books to shut-ins and
bring them back for them when they're through reading them? Have you
been to the Library and thought, "I could help," but not said anything
because you didn't think the Library needed or wanted help?
Well we do. If you are interested in helping out at the
Library just
contact the staff or any Board member and let them know.
Many hands make light work, and more hands will make the
Macsherry Library even better!
