For younger readers.

The younger reader area before reconstruction-new pictures coming!

Macsherry Library is very proud of what it has to offer younger readers.
We have a wide selection of books suitable to all ages, and in all
categories including biography, science, history, nature, and both
classic and new fiction.

The Library also hosts a Story Hour
every Saturday morning (except
during holidays) with materials
suitable for ages 3 - 8. At left
Story Hour Princess Glenda
reads to an appreciative audience.
For more information on Story Hour, visit the Story Hour page.

For readers aged 5 -16 there is also the Read Books to Win Books
Contest. Each time a reader of that age group takes out a book they
can put their name in for a monthly drawing from which three winners
get to pick out a book to keep. Visit the Reading Contest page to
learn more.

The young reader area has three older computers with a number
of games appropriate to children installed. These computers are
not capable of going on the internet. There is also a selection
of children's videos available for loan.

From the youngest readers up through teenagers, Macsherry Library
has books to engage, entertain, and enlighten. We hope to see you
and your younger readers there!
